WORKSHOP

PERFORMING STRONG
Fitness and mobility for musicians by LENNART ALLKEMPER

Most musicians play until they can't anymore. Playing musical instruments demands not only technical skill but also good physical fitness and flexibility. Maintaining this physical fitness is crucial not only for overall health but also plays a significant role in enhancing musical performance. As a musician, you often spend hours practicing in a static posture, which can lead to physical complaints in the long term.

As a lifelong athlete, certified fitness coach, and professional saxophonist, clarinetist, and flutist, I have incorporated targeted fitness and mobility exercises into my regimen. These exercises are specifically tailored to meet the unique needs of musicians.

The workshop will be conducted in English.
